FIGURATIVE VISUAL POETRY

Mayya paints visual poetry and specializes in stylish, color vibrant, figurative paintings. She is working with both digital and traditional media. Her style is a combination of clean geometric forms with a taste for visual aesthetics and passion for slow living. She has a mission to inspire people to discover beauty in every detail.

I choose the figurative subject because I think of the story of the living thing. I like to paint people and animals not as they are but as they could be. I depict the moments of pleasure, relaxation and life into detailed portraits of women inspired by poetry, fashion and beauty. There is a process of searching for the most perfect shapes, colors, and compositions that will represent the story either digitally, on the canvas, or on the paper. When people are looking at my artworks they are smiling, and they let themselves dream. Interested in the details, they enter the same exact place, where I am.
